No picture today for Week 7 because Bradley’s enthusiasm yesterday looked a little like this (see right) all. day. long. Today he is snoozing away….so maybe tomorrow. You do get a video (see end of post) of his adorableness for your enjoyment though:)
Another big week for you, buddy!
This week you had your first ear infection. Boo. You love the antibiotic though and happily suck it down though now you perpetually smell like amoxicillian. Yum. You’re still not feeling like yourself and have readily let everyone know. Even the pediatrician was wowed by your screaming….through a closed door.
You experienced your first snow this week. It didn’t last long and it was nasty icy snow, but nonetheless you went out in your way too big snow suit. Note the size of the snowsuit relative to actual Bradley.
You were also dedicated at church this week. Your dad and I made the promise in front of the congregation to raise you in a Christian home, teach you about Christ, and set an example for you. What a huge, scary promise to think that you are learning about faith, character, and integrity from me and my interactions with you and the world. I was blessed to have your grandparents who are amazing pillars of character to set an example for me. They have set the bar high and continue to provide guidance and wisdom. I promise to strive to do the same for you.
One the occasion of your dedication, we chose Philippians 1:9-11 as our prayer for you as you grow from our sweet little man into a strong Godly man with your own family.
And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.
We want you to experience the love of Christ through a deep and meaningful knowledge of him. We want you to have discernment of right and wrong as you walk through life and through your faith. We promise to do our best to help you cultivate these things. …though for now we would settle with being about to discern and communicate if you are tired or hungry…just sayin….
