Such a trashy song.  Such an untrashy laundry room (which is actually finished, but I will keep you in suspense a little longer).

“Look up, look up…there is something new!”

“No not the chandelier…behind the chandelier” (Bradley has a very sophisticated 6 month vocabulary with words like “chandelier” and “blab, blah, blab, mmmm, da”)

I made curtains for the room.  Yes, curtains in a laundry room.  The main window over the washer/dryer got a box pleat valance with some pleating on the bottom.

The side window got a roman shade to keep clean lines.

The fabric is Amy Butler’s Lark Treasure Box in Charcoal.  So in love with the fabric.

Both of which I made with a really “helpful” helper!

I also added some flair to the walls.

The frames are from Target for $2.99 each.  On the left is a picture of B and all his laundry.  He hasn’t been very cooperative getting a good laundry shot so it is a place holder until I capture something heart-stoppingly cute.  The right is a picture of one of his onesies with our shirts behind it for scale.  I can’t believe he used to be that small!  In the middle is a printable from Three Monkeys Studio.  It reads: “If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the piles and piles of laundry will disappear all too soon and that you will, to your surprise, miss them profoundly.”  My mom laughed when she saw it…but it’s a sweet sentiment, right?

Below the prints is twine for my “lost socks” clothesline.  Any sock that comes out of the dryer without its pair goes on the line.  Eventually the other turns up a few loads and/or days later.
