Another nursery project = check (or partial-check really which seems to be becoming the norm around here).
We’ve had this piece of furniture since we moved in our apartment after we got married. My mom spotted and rescued it from my Grandmother’s retirement home’s “Treasure Chest”. Such a treasure.
For the apartment it was painted purplish blue to off-set everything else being rental property white. It was the perfect piece for the space. See below.
Then we just sort of threw it in the dining room when we moved to the house. It has kept all of our extra place settings and things. It didn’t match or really fit in the room, but it was a free piece of furniture. Here is a picture in the extra-hideous pre-dining room makeover shot weeks after we moved in (yup, those are textured walls). Ouch.
Well, now thanks to Dad framing out the top and fixing the doors, after a few coats of paint (yes, it is a different blue) here is Bradley’s changing table. It even opens into more storage for all those baby things I don’t even know that we need.
Paint Colors are the same we have been using elsewhere in the room:
Light Blue – Valspar Ice Sculpture
Dark Blue – Valspar Deep Sea Diving
Knobs are from Hobby Lobby (for $1.50 each!)
Changing pad cover and fabric basket for the top right side are still awaiting completion in the sewing room. One day they will get finished….hopefully before baby comes.
